I trust you read my post on the benefits of oat meal and what you should know about oatmeal and you are wondering what fun is in taking oat as ceral for breakfast. The good news is...............there a lots of ways to incorporate oat in your meal at any time of the day without bothering about calories and weight gain and all the rest of them. Here are just few tips:
Oat SWALLOW: Oh yeah!!!!! Swallow. Substitute that heavy fufu meal with Oat balls and life gets much simpler. Simply grind the oat (groats preferably) into fine powder. Boil water in a pot and gently sift in the oat powder, stirring consistently till you get the right consistency. Serve with any Nigerian soup of choice.
Oat BREAD: Or ant pastry at that. Simply substitute some or all of your plain flour with your oat flour and make your bread, cookies, pancakes and whatever pastry you fancy
Oat SMOOTHIE: You can simply incorporate oats (preferably rolled oats) into your smoothie. Bananas, strawberries, Watermelon............the list is endless. Oats gives you a thick yummy consistency for your smoothie
Oat MILK: can be taken as chilled milk or with cerals and tea. Simply soak and blend your oat then sieve with a cheese cloth and store away. Simple right???????
